Mac Tools and Snap On Tools have wire piercing probes too. In fact I have a set of Mac wire piercing leads myself but I like the volt a grip better.

WHY???

Because many times I have hooked my Mac wire piercing probe to a wire and guess what???

It doesn’t pierce it!!!

Then what do I have to do? I have to get a pair of pliers of some type, get to the area I’m probing, crimp the probe so it pierces the wire, and then FINALLY see if this wire is “live” or not.

WHAT A PAIN!!!
